If your first response to explaining INNATE to your patients is why? Than maybe this episode is for you! If your patients do not understand innate, than most likely they are not going to stay with you much beyond their symptoms going away.
My father always equated Universal Intelligence with God, I LOVE this, but I don't actually explain it in the same manner.
You see, just as our patients don't have to believe in chiropractic in order for it to work, you don't have to believe that innate and universal intelligence is God in order to understand that it controls and coordinates every aspect of our lives.
I don't call Innate, God's, expression of himself in man, but I do know that innate is that knowledge that is within our cell's that I can not control.
What do think about Innate and how do you explain it to your patients.
4.54 Billion years, that is a rough estimate of the age of planet Earth. The Universe is approximately 14 billion years old, plus or minus 200 million years, so when I say Universal Intelligence, I am saying that there is approximately 14 BILLION years of knowledge in each and every single cell in our bodies.
Now that knowledge when it enters the human form is called Innate Intelligence, that Innate Intelligence, is what is guiding and coordinating every single aspect of our lives. That knowledge comes from our brain and down through our spine and out to our nervous system and literally tells our cells what to do.
That my friends is what we should be telling our patients, not, "Hey I can fix your back pain!"
I hope you enjoy this episode.

Walk by faith not by sight! These are words I hear in my sleep, these are the words my father, not only lived by, but what he tried to teach so many others to live by as well.
While we did not always agree on much, I have learned that this is one area where I can improve upon, BTW- there are MANY areas where I have room to improve upon, my father, Dr. Sigafoose, believed that it is the HOPE of a better life that can drive us towards being better chiropractors, husbands or wives, friends, siblings or just being a better person.
Let me know what you get out of this episode and share it, either at SigTalks.com or on our Facebook page. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
